May finish.

last month

This quilt has a longish story attached. For our first GGGD, thirteen years ago, I had seen a picture of a baby quilt called Patchwork Pals, done by Red Rooster, promoting their fabrics. There must have been a pattern available with yardages etc. I know I started ordering and then I discovered that Fat Quarter Shop had complete kits.

Quilt was finished and because I had already ordered fabric I had leftovers. They have been languishing for lo these many years. I was looking for something totally unrelated in a bin and found that fabric. It was a preprinted stripey pattern in two widths and I had two rolls , one wide stripe, one narrower. Time for it to get used!

The challenge now was to find or create a pattern to use what I had .Lots of scrap paper, lots of numbers, lots of erasures. But I finally decided on one and here it is. It went together nicely and now I have none of that left because the last bits of stripe went in the backing.

Why do my edges always look wavy. They are straight and square.

Now to start my next project. After all the gardening gets done!

Theresa
