tempur pedic mattress

Trying to decide if I should replace my Tempur-pedic mattress. It's 20 years old and it seems like it still has life in it however, I would like to get one that has a massage and is adjustable. Has anyone replaced their tempur pedic mattress? what have you replaced it with? Have you been happy or unhappy with the replacement?.I'm afraid the new ones are not as good as the other ones and I wil not get another 20 years out of it.

Maybe go mattress shopping/testing, as people’s preference/needs are different. A lot has changed in 20 years quality wise and you’ll know immediately after testing, but budget is also a big component.

We had a pillow top Stearns & Foster for 20 years and I hated to part with it. The same style they offer today is nowhere near the comfort level by comparison so we ended up shopping around. It's such a personal preference really based on your sleeping pattern so suggest you try out the tempur pedic and other comparable types to decide.

We wanted an adjustable bed this time, and for comfort we found the Puffy Monarch and is so luxurious, so glad we found the right one.

The adjustable beds are quite differnent than the old mattresses and need to be tested for comfort for sure.. So go shopping and testing. Most adjustable beds are not spring filled becuase of how they function , mine is 12" memory foam.

Patricia - Adjustable mattresses DO in fact have springs in them. The bases do not. Most mattresses are layers of different elements. Memory foam tops the springs for comfort (used to be cotton). You can get an all foam mattress but it is very soft. You can get latex mattresses and spring mattresses. People often make the mistake of standing next to a matteress and pushing on it withe their hands. When you go mattress shopping be prepared to listen to the salesperson, who is educated as to what is in each mattress. They will assess you needs based on how much it will be used. A 250 pound man and a 100 pound woman?They have different needs in regards to support and comfort. They need to assess who will be sleeping it, as well as what position you sleep in. They have different needs in regards to support and comfort. Don't get swept away with the latest trend. Lay down on the mattress for at least 5-10 minutes. Foam takes on the room temperature. The cooler the show room, the firmer the foam will be until your body warms it up. Also, your body will get used to the mattress in that time and will give you a more accurrate gauge to your comfort on it. Take your time, relax and test out several mattresses for comparison. There is no one "best mattress. It's an individual and personal preference issue. Good Luck.

Mine has no springs so no they all do not have springs This is my 2nd memory foam mattress and my other one did not have springs either .and it was 22 yrs old when we replaced with this new bed.
