Wow, crazy. I saw there was a moderate one in Vegas the other day, maybe last Thursday or Friday.

NO! Did not feel it here in North Jersey, BUT, appreciate your sunning reaction.., WE ARE NOT USED TO THE EARTH EVER MOVING on the East Coastal PLain! Having said that, I experienced a few mild, moderate or MINOR earthquakes here within the last several years, FREAKED ME and CAT OUT! Earthquakes are not well known here, and when even mild ones occur, they are somehow troubling. There is the New Madras fault in the Midwest, and that one being in the East (OLD geologically) sends out seismic waves much further than Western quakes! Only thing more distressing than earthquakes, is tornadoes, and NOT in that favored zone either..., blizzards and hurricanes though are on the short list of weather disasters here.

My son however, felt it in the high rise office where he works downtown(west central FL). He said he watched some decorations hanging by his desk start swinging back and forth.

Cuba is considered the "Pearl of the Caribbean" for a reason, still, Cuba is geologically, older, it gets more active earthquake-wise, and volcanically, as you travel down the Lesser Antillas!

I'm "so shocked" about the way some of you think. I can't BELIEVE it......
