Catching up on Tuesday

We have been incredibly busy and I just didn't get the chance to post yesterday. I ran a Facebook sale last week and now it is time to ship the daylilies. This part of the operation is definitely not our favorite, but we are trying hard to downsize. We just can't take care of all of them now.

Here are a bunch ready to be boxed.

John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt has been looking good.

I like the color of Orchids for Minnie.

Terrorsaur is finally putting on a show. I was not very happy with it the first couple of years. It actually is redder, but the overcast skies make it look a little more purple.

Rosemary Mussar just started blooming.

Debra's seedling had its first flower open. It is Abilene Lillian X Ruby Lipstick.

All About Color has been really bright.

Striped Action almost died its first winter but now its doing fine.

Enduring Charm is an interesting color but it's not been a good grower here. The flower is on the small side.

Fantasy and Dream is supposed to a late bloomer, but is more mid-to mid-late here.

A few seedlings to come . . .

I might have posted this one already. It is Charmed Existence X Marilyn Lee Bock.

This is Crimson Stories X Sonoran Desert Rose. It just started flowering. Please forgive Bob's hairy hand. He was tipping the scape back so the face of the flower wasn't in shade.

Our striped ones has been disappointing this year--very pale striping and not much of it. This has been the best of the bunch. It is Toothy Perfections X Panning for Gold.

    That's all for me.

John Jacob is looking very good. I have heard other disappointed comments on Enduring. Terrorsaur seems to be a clump. I forget the reservations you had earlier.

Bless your heart for doing all that work with the sale and good luck with shipping. Rosemary Mussar has an interesting look to it. You have some great toothy daylilies.

I get tired just thinking of all that digging and cleaning of the plants!

You have some beauties in this post. JJJS is beautiful. I really like the color on Orchids for Minnie, too. That is a nice clump of Terrosaur. Enduring Charm is a lovely bloom even if not a good grower.

Orchids For Minnie really appeals to me. They have updated my search engine on AOL and I can't find anything. Google Chrome is just as bad. Do you have a source - or will you be the source?.......I was impressed with the daylilies I bought from you and now everyone can see how nice they are. I'm so tired of getting puny daylilies. I was actually sent a clump of sedge once and it took me a month to figure out that it wasn't just another small daylily............Maryl

Charmed Existence X Marilyn Lee Bock is very pretty. I don't remember seeing it before. The colors on my seedling look so different in the cool Indiana Climate! I'm still waiting for JJJS to start. Yours looks so lovely in that photo. I love the look of Enduring Charm - too bad it does not grow well for you. Do you have any seedlings from it? It looks like you sold a lot of daylilies on your FB sale, and I really understand what you are saying about the need to downsize - especially as you add more and more seedlings each year.

I like a lot of these. Charmed Existence X Marilyn Lee Bock. is really pretty and I like Crimson Stories X Sonoran Desert Rose. I do like the striped ones also. Rosemary Mussar appeals to me since I am a sucker for Bicolors. I also like John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt, Terrorsau, and Orchids for Minnie.. The color of Orxhids reminds me of the color of Roman Cohort from you photo.
