I love the pillows on the sofa .. and the sideboard. Would you consider adding the pop of color as a layer of color with a rug in a similar blue as is in the pillows?

I like your current rug but it is bold ... I think a softer color would add color and soften the space . Make it more of a relaxation lounge.

Just a thought-- my limited decorating skills are very rusty!

Lovely and very pulled together Jojoco! For once I disagree about the pop of color… I think the neutral palette is exactly what you need to keep the emphasis on the ever changing, fabulous view. If I were going to do anything— and I probably would not— I would recover the chair in an orangey rust boucle or other textured fabric. But not unless the existing chair needed a makeover (doesn’t look like it from the photo). High contrast colored pillows on a light sofa are starting to look a little dated … she says glancing around at her blue pillows on tan sofas…..🙄

The only thing I would change is the rug. For me, the dark center and light border creates too much of a distracting contrast.

I brought most of the furniture from my old house, but had to replace a few things once I put them in the new house, as they just didn't fit quite right. It can be hard to get rid of things you might still like, but don't quite work in the new house. I still have 4 good quality oriental rugs rolled up on one side of my dining room!

I like that your couch has rolled arms and a skirt.

Very cozy. I love the roll arm chair. Perfect spot for curling up with a good book.

I'm an Olive green convert. I just recovered my breakfast bar stools in olive green leather. The olive green pillows are a great pop of color. The pine sideboard is awesome! Congrats on the new condo! May you make many happy memories here.

Jojoco you have a created a cozy and beautiful room for relaxing. The pine sideboard is perfect here. I also like Mtn’s addition of a little olive green. I can’t think of anything better since it seems to blend well with the black in the rug and the soft beige pieces.
