Blooming today before the heat starts

The temperature was about 80 degrees today, but the humidity is up. Tomorrow starts the dramatic rise in heat. We got rain yesterday and the flowers were gorgeous today. It's been a great year for flowers for us.

Bass Gibson started blooming.

I don't know if I posted Bird's Eye View a couple of days ago, but today's flower was lovely.

But Wait, There's More is showing its single face. Later we may see some doubles.

Gryphon Warsaw Rising is impressive in person. The flower is large.

Heavenly Angel Kisses is so delicately colored. The scapes are quite tall.

I had to take a photo of this mass of Heavenly Pink Angel.

Heavenly The Great Pumpkin has the potential of being one of Bob's favorite. The plant habit so far has not been good.

Last Snowflake is registered as late but it isn't late for us.

Madame Cheeseball is showing its first flower of the season.

Mitch Lynd was been terribly blotchy and erratic this season. One of today's blooms was pretty nice.

Muy Caliente! is showing its first flower of the season today.

This is a noid we both love. Someone here on the forum suggested it might be Opera Elegance. We tracked one down and bought it to compare. It turns out that it is not Opera Elegance. We still like it and plan to keep it.

Snarl has pretty dramatic flowers, but it is so short in our garden.

Tropical Tease was pretty today.

This is the kind of seedling that makes you want to cry. It has a beautiful flower, but the scapes are short. The bud count looks to be better this season though. It is Gus Townsend (which is short) X All of My Love to You. We will keep it even if we don't register it. The weather is making it a little darker than usual.

Mitch has been very clean here; recently divided. The person named for this plant died withi the last year I believe. Do I assume that the Great Pumpkin is not necessarily a favorite of yours? Well, you'll have to hybridize with the noid and produce something as good. Edward Abbey is not near blooming here yet. I can tell that you are very pleased with the season. Some things are doing very well. Dennis Russell, for example, has one scape with 30 buds. The size of some flowers in the garden is extraordinary. But there are others for whom it is not a great season.

Lots of really nice looks here! I kinda like the look of Edward Abbey. Gorgeous clump of Heavenly Pink Angel. Last Snowflake isn’t late for me either-it is a pretty bloom. Tropical Tease is a lovely color. The seedling is beautiful. I would keep it too.

I like Bass Gibson and Edward Abbey. Tropical Tease looks great. I am attracted to that color combination.
