I also like mixing stripes with a floral or pattern -- I love the shells but you said they are sold out? I dont have time right now to look but GH has some interesting small patterns that are beachy. I will peek later.

I would bring in that pretty green though, so in that light I vote against the shells.

I don't think you need to worry about bringing the green into the bedding necessarily.

I don't think I could say "no" to surfing dogs lol ...

but even with the green walls, I like the sea shells a lot. I don't think navy and green are at odds and you could always bring them together with photography/artwork pillows, whatever.

I agree about white sheets, but I make an exception for twin beds.

I wouldn't worry about green in the sheets and use a decorative pillow for combining the green and blue and/or adding other colors. Love the crispness of blue and white sheets. Although.... the surfing dogs are very cute! Oh wait - just saw the other dogs - that's it, that's my vote!

I like white sheets too, I like all these sheets really, but for a rarely used guest room at a beach house, I like the fun. I'm sticking with the surfer dogs.

It's like the video that was posted here before - that every house needs a little weird. These aren't really weird, but why go with white sheets when there are surfer dogs out there!

I love the scallop shells with the blue stripes best. Surfing dogs would make me smile but i’d prefer it as an accent.

The PBK stars are fun, but DGD1 has them and they fade quickly. YMMV,

These are whimsical and the pattern seems to sort of reference the pattern in the navy stripe of the quilt.

I love blue and green, and love dogs, and think vacation homes are a great place for whimsy. I do like the surfing dog sheets.

I also think I might use crisp white sheets or narrow blue/white stripe sheets, and then get a pillow made for each bed using this fabric:

Either the shells 1st choice or the tiny whales. Accent pillows as whimsical easy to change decor.

Well, this room just never gets used in winter.

I really like the comforter you selected and the scallop shell best. I opted for these for the cottage sleeping quarters at the Riverhouse. I was torn between the two, so I bought them both. One set has a soft green stripe snuck in the pattern

I always like to visualize a similiar look to give me ideas. This blanket (?) is from Pottery Barn Teen shows a windowpane print sheet. The dog print is more fun.

I like the third one in your original post. The floral with both blue and green.

Like mojomom posted toward the end here...TBH...to me, it's the only one that looks really good and it needs to peak out of the blue and white quilt for sure and I love it has a more "fresh" look. I wouldn't worry about it being a "cottage-y" (which print is just too small) or coastal vibe look at all.

Well, my wallet was speaking and I found these Nautica sheets for $35! So I ordered them…at least worth a try!

No those are the Twin longs, which one ever needs again. Which is ok since they are only washed biannually, and hence live short, troubled lives.
