Two of my three late bloomers had their ffo's today, so we're sliding into the end of the season. Most of the garden is still flush with bloom, and it still looks like peak in the rows.

August Frost X Winter's Angel ffo - This late blooming seedling has some scapes that are well-budded and some that are not.

Miss Goldie Gold Digger is the other late that started blooming today.

This garden shot showcases the later bloomers. In the foreground are Sweet Child of Mine, Chicago Girls and Conspiracy Theory.

Divas in Diamonds started blooming a couple of days ago.

Broken Chains had a few blooms before this one.

Open Door is still going strong. Fear Not is on the side.

Ruth Watkins Davidson opened yesterday with a trio and much lighter than normal because of so many days with the heat index in the 100s.

John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt had much sharper white teeth today.

The garden bed shot is so pretty with all those colors. Ruth Watkins Davidson is always a nice bloom even in the heat. I like the red seedling with that edge. JJJS was indeed showing teeth. Nice photos in the heat!

The heat and sun are so unfriendly to pic taking. Divas in Diamonds got a good pic. Indeed, it is more attractive in the sun than I remember it. We are not yet at peak. I think of your climate as similar, or colder, than here, but maybe not.

The threesome in your bed Sweet Child of Mine, Chicago Girls and Conspiracy Theory all go well together. Individually they are each quite beautiful too. The bed in general is very nice.

You know how I like the color on Miss Goldie Gold Digger, but as a later bloomer here she sure didn't like our high heat. I agree with her. I don't either........I like your threesome shot; so pretty. My other favorite is Diamonds For Divas. You do pinks so well...........Maryl

Mantis - There's no accounting for the differences in my season and yours. I thought mine would be very similar to Nancy's in Terre Haute, but many cultivars started blooming for her almost a week before they bloomed here. While we had a very cold, snowy winter, we had several early warm snaps that may have hurried things along. I only have four daylilies and two seedlings in the ground that have not started blooming yet. The extra earlies have been finished for about a week, and many EM bloomers are running out of buds.

I especially like the first one that is whitish. . Love the garden shot. I did get Sweet Child Of Mine this spring but no scapes so far. Maybe next year.

Julia - My late seedling that is near white blooms for a long time, so it's a favorite with me. I know you like the garden shots. I rarely deadhead the whole garden, so I seldom take pictures of all my rows.

Your seedlings are my favorite today. (Lovethe rich color on Fighting Fire seedling. I think sll of us are having a very different season.
