The previous owners of my 1870 home had enclosed and insulated an exterior porch and converted it into the main bedroom closet.

The 15x5 square footage was great space-wise but they didn’t do much other than add two hanging rods for clothes so there was a lot of wasted real estate. It was also dark and uninviting.
