Peak is Nearing Now

Probably a day or so away. I'm sure it will occur when the garden is rain soaked. Here are just some recents, among many pics.

Wild Horses has been a delight, just filled with bloom.

Ring Nebula has looked good, but bloom still not abundant.

Minnesota Nice

Uppity Girls is vigorous and tall.

Laguna Brava (Hanson)

Every Knee Shall Bow.

Scotland Calls (Davisson)

Black Fury, from Stadler, has been filled with 5-inch flowers.

Jimmy, with its sturdy stems and huge flowers, has been dramatic.

Crintonic Perfect Kiss

Dave. It was a bit too overcast, so pic is a bit soft.

Mystery of the Ages. Glad that David recommended this some years ago.

Davisson's Dippity Doo Dah is vigorous and reblooms.

A soft pic of Pink Aloha.

Light of the World was so lovely on this day, but a bit too overcast.

Heavenly Bombshell looked like a bicolor.

I really like Every Knee Shall Bow, Black Fury, Mystery of the Ages, and Dave. I see that Dave is a semi-ev. How does it respond to your winters? I should get it because of the name.

Dave has had a great year this year. It is more heavily budded than usual. Its height has generally not been a problem, but bud count in some years has been stingy. It is not a fast multiplier.

I am trying to steer my eyes away from the purples like Mystery of the Ages and Dave which look great and lean into Crintonic Perfect Kiss and Laguna Brava. Wild Horses is an impressive clump. Hard to believe you are close to peak.

I miss my Pink Aloha. Even in its light pink coloration there's something so special about the form/edge and overall sweetness of it. . But after 4 attemtps to keep it going, I had to give up I really enjoy seeing it and hope to see it again next year........Laguna Brava is a very nice lavender/pink, and since I seem to be in a pink mood, I'll take Critonic Perfect Kiss for door number 3 ....Maryl

Wild Horses looks great in your photo. Mine in Nashville was always short because of grubs, and they finally killed it. Black Fury looks like a good dark one. I like Stadler's intros.

Minnesota Nice shows a lot more color for you than Sherry. Yours looks lavender, and hers always looks light pink to me.

Does Sherry have Minnesota Nice? Don't remember her posting it, but she has posted M Morning. MN is a lavender-shaded pink, registered pinkish lavender.

Gorgeous pics. I do like very much the Hanson and Davisson daylilies. I prefer soft pinks like Pink Aloha. I plan to go lookup Laguna Brava.

Mantis - I am confusing the Minnesota daylilies. I think Sherry's is Minn. Morning. Is Minnesota Nice an Emmerich?

Yes, MNice is an Emmerich. It is the parent of Come by Faith, a very recent Emmerich. Julia, Laguna Brava is fairly tall, a lavender.

Crintonic Perfect Kiss is such a pretty one. And so isa Jimmy. I always like the DAvisson lilies and Dippity Doo Dah is a pretty one. Every Knee Shall Bow is very pretty. Always a lot of beauty when you post.

Laguna Brava and Crintonic Perfect Kiss are my favorites of these. Great form and colors.
