A few first blooms and a few perfect blooms.

Temps are lower today but the humidity is still through the roof with no breeze. it is almost painful to be out taking photos. It seems most of us are in the same conditions. The first four photos are ffo.

Gothic Grenadine is in a pot from my local nursery. The photo doesnt do the dark red justice. I dont have this color in my garden. It isnt on NGA website yet.It is supposed to be colorfast in all day sun…..we shall see.

Harold Thomas, I am on the fence about this one. No increase to speak of after four seasons. It was moved to a sunnier spot a while back.

Cletus Clatterback with ffe. It is well budded.

After waiting over a week I am finally seeing three perfect blooms on Mary’s Baby

This view of Ruby Spider and friends just made me smile today.

Your Ruby Spider is doing much better than mine (at the estate) this year, where it is quite short. Harold Thomas took a nice picture, but the increase rate is deplorable.

Mary's Baby looks so pretty with the coreopsis! Ruby Spider makes a striking clump, and the white flowers in back really make the red pop!

Gothic Grenadene is an interesting color. Looking forward to seeing it in the future. You know I would like Cletus Clatterback! That color! Mary’s Baby is looking good

and love the Ruby Spider photo. Is that phlox in the background? So pretty.

Mantis, I have three Ruby Spiders, two are doing great, height is what I usually see. The third was added last season,is doing well but scapes on it are shorter than the others. This daylily has never skipped a beat here.

You Ruby Spider's clump was so bright and pretty Kissed by Moonlight is just a delicate beauty and I like the deep color on Gothic Grenadine. Looking good, Sherry.

Kate, that is phlox. I love it but I have to dead head. I only have three now. A few years ago I had some health problems and it didnt get done. The following season it tried to take over that daylily bed. Sooooo much work to remove the ”volunteers”.

Mary's Baby and Ruby Spider are quite beautiful! Gothic Grenadine is very nice and I can imagine how it might look as I have dark reds with black that don't photo well but I love.
