what is the existing situation w the cabinets that leads to the paintng project? its always a big undertaking so knowling the "starting position" in terms of ALL the various options is helpful. For example , the island has those angles and I dont see any drawers so this would be a time to look at your space for function also.

Hi there! Thanks for this. It’s a rental property so we aren’t looking to spend a ton. The island actually doesn’t have these cabinets. II added them lol it’s just drawers on the other side and two corner cabinets.

so paint gets abused quite easily. what are the existing cabinets in your rental property?

Best to show a photo of your existing space - especially the counters and floor which will drive the paint decisions

And best to get larger samples of the paints you are considering and prop them up against the floor/counter. Also a good idea to figure out what your wall color is exactly - only then can people give good advice.
