Great pics. I like all the bloom pics. Interesting pot garden you have. Your a trooper to go and water them all. Heat/humidity is here as well and now they are reporting we may start seeing some of the haze from the Canadian wildfires affecting us here. I know some areas north of us are already complaining about it.

Maryl, no favorites here-I like them all!! Paradise Road looks great as does Carolyn. I agree about your assessment of Caroline Grace. I am always amazed at your pot culture. Don’t you repot every year as well?

Your pot garden is so wonderfully tidy and set up nicely for expendient watering! My top favorite today is Carolyn Grace McGhee. What a pretty pink! Heaven's Throne looks wonderful, and I'm always drawn to Green Icon. The foursome of Paradise Road is lovely, while Almost Sunset looks like a great addition to your collection!

Maryl, what an amazing post! I bookmarked it for future reference. It is a good reference for heat tolerant varieties that are also beautiful. As a matter of fact, I think every one is a beauty! Thanks for showing your pots--I couldn't imagine how you had them. So neat and trim. I also like the background flowers in the pictures, especially whatever that is behind almost sunset.

Julia: I was listening to a talk show based in NYC the other day and they mentioned the smoke too. I hope it doesn't reach you.......Kate: Carolyn Grace McGhee is a very nice daylily. Slimmer petals then I like, but as you well know from experience, daylilies get big points for doing well in our climate, which she does. Yes, every spring I refresh all those pots and they all have to be moved up front come fall. It is work.........Debra: Almost Sunset is a another Douglas, so I will need to garage it over winter. Rats!..........Sherry: Most of my daylilies are in 8" pots. A few in 10". I can't pick up bigger pots when I move all these daylilies up to the front of the house which faces west and is warmer. Too many losses when I leave them back here on the east side........Brad: The plant behind Almost Sunset is Lythrum Mordern's Pink. A sterile variety of Lythrum. It has been shunned by the powers that be because of it's relationship to the invasive Lythrum species. Hard if not impossible to find now. Thank you for the nice words.........Mantis: Rethink Pink blooms well enough and is tall enough for my purposes, but its main value to me is its unique coloration on a wide face and the fact that it takes heat. As with roses, I value the individual blooms first and then work with the rest of the plant...........................FINALLY to all those who complimented me on my neatness.
