Is the sink being offset to the left and not right, leaving a blank space on the right wall, what is bothering you? This would bother me too being right-handed. If so, would a rectangular piece of art in the blank wall area help to balance things out?

I’m trying to verify with my building team the placement of the light. I was under the impression it was being centered over the vanity and not the sink. When we did the trades walkthrough thete was no countertop so I didn’t realize the sink was offset.

Fixtures box can be moved so can be centered over sink. My bad for not noticing the cabinet configuration with offset sink. I’m a person who loves symmetry:(. Now I would have preferred the sink at the wall side but what’s done is done.

Is it too late to get a smaller sink base and larger drawer base? THe drawers will probably only be 9 inches wide of usable space.

Will you see the cabinet from a door or straight on to see that it is not centered on the sink? We just removed a pedestal sink and replaced it with a sink and drawer base at my daughter's house. Her length is what yours will be and the light is centered above the sink, up by the wall.

Her's is visible from the door and looks fine from there.

I do sometimes look at the light and think that it might be nice centered on the vanity, not the sink. She also centered a larger mirror over the entire vanity as it is a busy bath for getting kids out the door for school, etc.

Buy a 36 inch diameter round mirror, center the light over the mirror, ignore the faucet .......or show the whole of the room and the entry and toilet locale. the WHOLE of this...

When you build, the little details, matter, It's the wrong vanity or the wrong plumbing rough in .or both: )

Here is the overview of bathroom. The cabinet people designed this and I really didn’t pay attention to the details of the vanity. I dropped the ball on this one:(. I agree that it’s the wrong vanity but I have to live with it. Please help minimize my mistake.

Just select a large framed mirror proportional to the vanity. Sink location doesn't really matter.

But you don't really have to live with it ... "mistakes" can be fixed during a build. The changes would be a small percentage of what you are spending for the whole build and might be worth it, if you will always feel that you made a mistake. Do you want to be annoyed for the next 20 years every time you go by this bathroom!

I'd put this on the cabinet maker,, AND the plumber who was given a drain LOCATION by the cabinet maker?

Have him buy you a navy vanity with top. This is a pee and wash. You don't need much beyond soap, hand towels and toilet paper, and I have no clue why the vacuous size and blank wall that will have...ART?

Buy a navy vanity / center sink with top 30inches!!!,,, Add float shelves to the right, ,, get a 24" x 36 mirror and put the light above both mirror and SINK/FAUCET

How about the toilet not being centered opposite the sink? Lots of mess ups in this poor bath.

Toilet has to be there snd is not a problem to me. This is a functional powder room squeezed in near our elevator so restricted in size and configuration. The vanity is my issue since it is a standard 48” vanity that I didn’t notice being offset since it was not in the plans or the first cabinet designers rendering. I appreciate the comments and they’ve given me the push I needed to contact the builder about replacing knowing I will pay the cost. It’s worth it to me since I love symmetry. Lesson learned. Even though it’s just a powder room I should have scrutinized the final cabinet order.

With the toilet off center, how about placing the sink to the right and the drawers left? Then they echo the toilet placement. Just a thought.
