Five years ago, we redid our kitchen. Part of that project was taking all the upper cabinets and replacing with two open shelves (which I loved). I had my glasses, bowls, small plates, some platters on the shelves. We loved the easy access and dust was not an issue for us. Additionally, I added glass crackle subway tiles. Our recent remodel required me to pull off all the tile from the sink wall so we could expand and replace with a new black kitchen window and redo the electrical. The subway tile is not available so I decided change out all the tile with a modern wood shiplap type plank. I really don't want to tile again. The shiplap painted Urban Bronze matches the Aspen granite perfectly. On the other side of the kitchen I built a coffee/baker bar and loved the shiplap. I'm trying to figure out what to do with this kitchen wall.

I could just rebuild the two shelves OR use two 42" cabinets to book end the wall with one shelf between OR do one of those counter top storage cabinets maybe with glass doors. Appreciate your suggestions. I previously also had a mountain metal wall art over the shelves which I hope to put back up after I paint.
