Any particular product? You are asking about installation but they are most likely not all the same.

I had the really old style Allure from HD in my walk out with 3 huge dogs and a free run doggie door it stood up well except for where my hubby sat with his shoes on all the time . It was 18 yrs old when we moved and still looked great except that spot . The stuff we had was a thin piece with an adhesive strip that joined to the next strip very different than the new stuff but the dogs did nothing to it at all.
