yesterday
last modified: yesterday

The FDA classified a voluntary recall of nearly 1.6 million dozen shell eggs by Midwest Poultry Services, L.P. as a Class I risk—the highest level, indicating a probability of serious adverse health consequences or death—due to potential Salmonella Enteritidis contamination linked to a multi-state outbreak.

Midwest Poultry Services had distributed the eggs to Kroger and Brookshire Grocery Company stores across six U.S. states.

It's not just those states affected. " with 98 people infected across states including Texas, California, Illinois, New York, and Colorado"

So it sounds like we all need to be on the lookout.

Since both my husband and I eat one egg a day, I'm buying cartons every week. Last night, I noticed the price increased and wondered if this is the reason.
