What is the issue with these white oak floors?

Can you give me your professional opinion on these floors? They’re white oak, finished with Bona NordicSeal and Bona Traffic HD. We believe the crew followed a proper sanding process, but the execution seems poor. Currently there is one coat of NordicSeal and one coat of Traffic HD. When they attempted a second coat of NordicSeal, the area in photo 2 turned milky/gray. That area was previously done 3 years ago with Nordic and traffic and looked fantastic - now with the refinishing, the area is gray. There are also splotchy areas in the raw wood that was installed, roughness, gaps and boards with a lot of visible filler that look like corners were knicked. Before they buff and put the second Traffic coat on, I’d like to know whether you think this can be corrected by buffing/recoating or whether the floor needs to go back to raw wood and be resanded.

Looking at these photos, does this look primarily like a sanding/preparation problem, a NordicSeal application problem, or both?

It looks like a combination of sanding/preparation and NordicSeal application issues. The roughness, splotchy areas, filler, and uneven appearance suggest the surface was not properly prepared.

I would avoid applying the second Traffic HD coat until the cause of the gray/milky areas is identified. A small test area should be buffed and recoated first. If that does not correct the appearance, resanding may be necessary.

Your description of the process appears out of sink. Two coats of seal go on then multiple coats of HD. Water-based first seal coat raises the grain and this is sanded and cleaned..

Thank you for sharing the video! I was able to see the floor looking cohesive and no weird marks or gray patches.

Honestly our original floor we installed look like this but after a slab leak, they had to rip up 3/4 of the floor and reinstall and then refinish and stain the entire floor.

Unfortunately, we have been left with the pictures I sent above.

Curious to hear more professional opinions on the original request

Only issue is the bottom right corner. Everything else is normal. A second coat will help seal and even things out. The image I pointed out, looks like there was a contamination, spot fix first.
