September blooms

September 1 and I still have 5 daylilies blooming……that’s a new happening here. Olfactory Evidence still has quite a few buds, had five blooms yesterday.

Late to the Party had two blooms today. It is almost done.

Final Touch has a couple buds left. Today’s bloom has extra petals. It has had poly blooms several times this season.

A duo for Olfactory Evidence today. It has several buds to go. At least another week of blooms

Ollalie Keith had a trio today. Only one in the camera frame this time.

Autumn Minaret has two more buds on this small plant. My mature AM is about done. I had at least six weeks of blooms on it with multiple blooms every day.

My turtlehead has been blooming for awhile. Yhe tube shaped blooms stay closed. I was fascinated watching bumble bees go in and out of the blooms. Their little bodies are completely engulfed in the flower.

Nice to have late daylilies bloominng. I think I grew Turtlehead in NYS garden and it is a pretty perennial but mine did not come back. Most likely because not enough moisture. Looking forward to hearing how it does for you next season.

If I had late blooms or reblooms I would not know it! Another week of triple heat index temps is keeping me inside!! I always like the color of Final Touch. I lost mine to crown rot several years ago but enjoy your photos. Olfactory Evidence has a pretty bloom.

Olfactory Evidence is my favorite is my favorite, and like Kate I always liked Final /touch and I too lost mine. It is miserably hot, but I always get out quite early and the silly things are indeed still putting out reblooms.

Julia, I have had turtleheadin my garden for at least 10 years. One clump is in shade and not as vigorous. The other gets several hours of sun and does better. They are both in spots that are the last to get dried out.

Your late bloomers look wonderful! Olfactory Evidence is my favorite. Dancing Flamingo started reblooming here this week, but it was so hot I didn't want to go out to photograph it. Nothing is blooming here today except my Bluebird asters and Sweet Autumn Clematis.
