I've added a 3 season room to my mid-century modern Ralph Fournier home. The addition (added on one side of the house) "mirrors" the carport that's on the other side of the house. I'm so pleased with it (though it's taken forever and went way over budget). It looks like it has always been there - which was my goal.

The porch/room is 12x19 and on the west / southwest side of the house. It is partially shaded.

Anyway, it started out as a screened porch but took on a life of its own and is going to be a 3 season room. The room is painted Pashmina (same shade as exterior of the house), trim and ceiling are White Dove, and the windows are ProVia Sandstone.

My final decision is tile for floor. I initially fell in love with Daltile Core Fundamentals Platinum Gray-Brown (it's very close in color to the floor inside the house) with Bostik "Taupe" grout. BUT I also got samples of a shade lighter (Greige) with Bostik "Cashmere" grout. Honestly, I like both of these. I probably lean toward the greige but my fears (a) when the entire floor is the lighter shade it may be a bit washed out from all the windows and (b)the room will be way "too" neutral and that having some contrast with the floor would be a good idea.

Wondering what the experts would advise?

Would you choose the lighter Greige for a soft tonal look, or the darker Gray Brown to anchor the room?
