Hornbakers is my go to vendor for online sales. Their plants are gallon sized and shipped well with dirt and roots wrapped in wet paper towels and then in plastic. They are shipped in good sized boxes as well. Also their customer service is very good. I had a plant that didn’t survive the winter from them. I contacted them and they immediately sent me a replacement. You can’t go wrong with them.

Also, they are the garden vendor The American Hosta Society uses when they send plants to new members and I think for renewals too.

Other good vendors are The Hosta Store, Land of the Giants ( specializing giant hostas), Plant Delights, New Hampshire Hosta, Maple Rivers, Uniquely Hostas, Mason Hollow and there are many others. The one I have stayed away from is
Plant Addicts. I purchased perennials from them. The order was $150. $90 dollars of that was for 3 Drawf butterfly bushes that were completely dead the next spring. When I contacted them I expected they would send replacement plants or a credit but they merely offered 10% off on a new order. I told them, forget it, I won’t be shopping with you again.
