Based on the 'roughness' it seems to be Rough Cat's Ear, Hypochaeris radicata?

Rough Cat’s Ear seems to be a match, but I have no idea where it came from because I’ve never seen anything like it growing nearby. Thanks, Jay!

The seed is wind borne, like dandelion, so the parent plant could be quite far away.

That makes sense, floral... there's a huge field that abuts my property and all kinds of seedy weedy beautiful plants have migrated from there to my gardens and it all grows so aggressively that I can no longer stop it. lol! I'm being overrun with various goldenrods, asters, loosestrife, grapevines, bindweed, and even poison ivy, now. Good news though! Since I now have PI trying to grow at the farthest edges of my yard, I also had lots of Impatiens capensis show up this year! I'd never seen that growing around here before either, but I know it pairs up nicely with the PI. :)
