This kitchen will look out of place in a house with a Mediterranean vibe. It only works if the whole remodel gets rid of all the tacked on Mediterranean details.

Not enough information as to what works best for a house in the Delray FL area. A cohesive design is always good for resale.

Hmmm they do seem heavy and pretty dark to me - (and AI tends to make spaces more glowy than they are in real life) - would help to see the house

Both of these remind me of futuristic kitchens from a sci-fi movies. I'm not sure how functional the layout is as it's hard to distinguish from these a.i. images alone. Would make it easier to determfine functionality with plans presented. Will say that the stools located at the end of the island don't seem particularly functional with no overhang. Anyone sitting there will be kind of far removed from the countertop.

They are both ugly in my opinion. You state Florida and your making everything dark? The kitchen does nopt that there is any sort of reasonable function. Kitchen design is more than colors.

With respect to colours alone, I'd choose the first. With respect to shape/layout/fixtures/cabinetry, I'd choose neither - both look very anti-Mediterranean, and almost brutalist in style.

just a big plain box 15' x 12' with light at one end... is there outdoor dining with the slider facing the lake?

what are the bulkheads for? is it an interior room, no option for more light even from above?

I'd make the window under the cabinets the entire opening, you'll need the light.

doesn't feel like a working kitchen, just a show piece. Nothing wrong with sleek, but at least make it functional, plenty of room for an overhang on island top.

If you've been working on this you've got to have a scaled layout of the space including adjacents to share. More info allows better ideas coming back to you.

Thank you for the comments I appreciate them. Remember I am working with a budget so trying to make changes that are cost effective. Getting rid of the window is expensiveon the opposite side of the kitchen island not in view is a small mini bar. To the right on the side by the stools is a breakfast area and to the left is the tv. No need for an overhang I would never sit in that direction. I would rather have the storage. I like the modern clean look vs traditional florida white and was trying to do something that is more modern and would be a head of its time as not to go out of style. I was originally thinking a blue island with gray cabinets but that seems to be out. I am also not changing those wood floors as they run through the house so have to find options that work with the floor so that elimates a lot of choices. there will be recessed lights and the light fixture and there is under counter light. The stools are nonsense and not going to be there AI just added them to the rendering. I currently have two of those appliance garages and really like them so wanted to add them again. The appliances are in the same position as they currently are so did not want to move them so I am kind of working with what was there. There is really no way to make a traditional working triangle so I did the best I could. I am curious what cabinet brands people like for doors or boxes. Who are the reasonably priced well made options. Thanks I have not finalized anything so am open to ideas. Someone told me about Adornus cabinets stating they were good and inexpensive but I wonder about the quaility price seems too low and color options are very limited

It sounds as if you know your likes for a layout...so stick with your design. My issue is the natural light, one north facing window and an east facing slider with a view. The east light is the dominant. I used AI to paint your cabinets a dark black/green instead and the walls white. Both colors work with the natural light, and I think you still can get the "look" using the correct colors for the light.

This is B.M. Essex Green and B.M. Simply White. I left the blue/green quartzite as I like it in this scheme making a nice segue out to the lake.

Consider antique brass for your metals. Works so well with the floors

I’d choose Taj Mahal. With the north-facing kitchen, east-facing lake view, 12-foot ceilings and Mediterranean feel, it will give you warmth without making the room too heavy. With Down Pipe and Roman clay already adding contrast, the Taj Mahal lets the stone be the focal point.

Interesting with the green that is what I originally wanted to do but was having issues finding the correct cabinets in a green. Here is the current layout you can see those other windows next to the kitchen and the long hall to the entry way on the other side

FYI - the current wood flooring allows for many options - I don't really see it as a big "design limiting" factor. If you had multi-colored slate or taupe tiles, those would limit your design choices.

I don't believe the proposed kitchen would be good for resale - I assume the rest of the home is Tuscan - the kitchen will look out of place in the home. Also, it is a very specific style of kitchen - this would be very limiting re: potential purchasers. Adding a modern kitchen does not = longevity re: style. Creating a more "timeless kitchen" is what will create longevity.

no, nothing of the sort the current home is not tuscan it is not really anything just a generic house single story with high ceilings. You guys have been helpful with your feedback any images you can share of things you see online that you think would be the way to go

Dani- that is a great point so what would you suggest for this floor. Wood won't really work that is light because it causes problems with a floor. I am not getting completly custom cabinets so I only have a few choices in a few price ranges. So if I have a handful of options I can only make do with the best bad option. What cabinet compaines do you guys like for quality cabinets at fair prices

I was looking at Lihoer, Milino, Adornus, Nobilia have you guys had any experierience with these brands

I don't mean to be a bummer, but I don't like much about this kitchen. Admittedly, modern, dramatic and cutting edge aren't "looks" to which I'm drawn. Thoughts:

- I do like the general layout. An L+island always works.

- I do like the floor.

- I strongly dislike the black. It overshadows everything /draws attention in a negative way, and it will show every bit of dust /be hard to keep clean -- especially since so much of the black is over your head.

- It's better in the green that another poster suggested, but it still feels heavy /overwhelming. I really think you can do better.

- I love Taj (who doesn't?) but it seems to blend in /doesn't make the statement such a nice (and expensive) material should.

- I strongly dislike the excessively high ceiling -- it looks more like a commercial venue than a home.

- I'd flip-flop the mixer and the coffee area -- yeah, this is a small thing, but it'd be convenient to be able to make coffee outside of the main work area, while you wouldn't want to leave the main area to reach the mixer.

- Do you want a microwave? I don't see one anywhere.

I feel like it is safe to say that you guys would not like any of these kitchens a lot of good feedback but nobody seems to have a solution as to what colors would work better other than deep green which is not an option with any of the lines I am currently thinking about so I am trying to make the best of what is available to me.

AI is not helping you except to allow you do avoid drawing a scale floorplan on graph paper. Do that and post it. Couple hours to begin down a functional path within a budget.

The only thing worth keeping in this design is the flooring, although in a mediterranean kitchen stone floors would be better if youre being true to the style. You say you want a timeless kitchen but . this looks like a cold sterile out of date high rise condo kitchen. It is in no way shape or form appropriate for a mediterranean style home. With your high ceilings you have such a great opportunity to make this kitchen true to the style of the homes architecture and add beams which would be mediterranean appropriate. You need to go back to the drawing board and strat by researching different architectural styles and specifically mediterranean.
