    Just heard that sad news.

We had 3 ring binders for school, and I did have this set of little books he illustrated but I'm not sure if they survived the flooding from hurricane Helene

I also have length of vintage fabric in one of his designs.

I was so in love with his style as a kid, I often tried copying it.

A plywood swinging door I painted - ca. early 70s:

I had a scarf at one time.

I don’t think I owned anything with one of his designs but I enjoyed seeing them everywhere.

One of my sisters still has an umbrella.

I had a big black light poster in my room.

A yoga studio I went to years ago (run by an heiress I guess) had a Peter Max actual painting (was it Marilyn or Liberty?— can’t recall). There was also a Yamaha grand, a lovely plush pink carpet, and a huge queen of the night plant.

My sisters got these for Christmas one year. Officially I think this was "my" Christmas present to them. I was six. At that time my mom would either pick something out or help me pick something out and that would be their present. I think we saw them in a store and picked them out together...She did this when we were small and they were basically age appropriate.

When I was maybe 3 or 4 I gave my unmarried aunts red and black plaid vinyl bags that had magnets in it so it attached to the dashboard of the car (since they were metal then) and you could use them to hold Kleenex or as litter bags. (Since people smoked and you didn't want to put litter in with the cigarette stubs. )

This is the one my sister still has

and I think this is the one that my other sister lost

One morning, he was a guest on one of the morning shows. If you put a piece of Saran wrap on the screen, and had markers at the ready, he drew on a sheet in front of the camera, and you could ”trace” it onto your Saran wrap, then wrap it around a sheet of cardboard, giving you an ”original” Peter Max. I had mine for years!

I had Peter Max cookie jar. It finally rusted a was tossed.

Bpath, any chance you remember the Saturday morning cartoon show. Winky Dink? Same concept as the saran wrap. You got a Magic Window , which was a sheet of clear plastic and some crayons. Then you could draw a bridge or something to save Winky ! I can still sing the theme song.
