Hard to keep quiet, I know. Glad you could come here and share your excitement.

DH would know that feeling! Before they DSIL and DD went on a month long holiday to Europe, DSIL actually came to see DH to ask his blessing as he planned to propose while they were there. DH said nothing to me at the time. Then, while we were in Bali on a holiday, DD called me to tell me that DSIL had proposed! It was my birthday, and it was the best birthday ever! (DD and DSIL had been together for about 10 years at that point, and we just loved DSIL and had hoped for years they'd finally make the jump :-) ).

When I got the call we were being taken back to our accommodation from a tour, and had stayed many times at that particular place and were friends with all the staff. So as soon as we got back I was excitedly telling all the staff and anyone else who would stand still for long enough to hear :-D

How long do you have to wait until daughter's birthday? You must be positively buzzing with excitement :-D

She didn't have input on the ring she will wear 24/7 FOREVER? You really don't think she's seeing this coming? I don't hear stories like this much anymore. Why her birthday? Exciting times. Hopefully it all goes well. Our future SIL chickened out, delayed, many tears.... Now that we are 10 days out from the wedding it all seems worth it.

@arcy_gw, hopefully after six years BF will have an idea of Daughter’s taste. And I would think that Daughter can have the ring altered to suit her if it doesn’t.

She had input, but doesn't know the final GORGEOUS design. He and I both know she'll love it. If we don't know what she likes, no one would.

Congrats in advance, Rob! If she’s got access to either of your phones, delete messages. My friend’s daugjter just had the surprise ruined when she saw a text on her mom’s phone.

I have been doing so food. I only have one picture of it at all, and it's in an archived spot, so she'd really have to look for it.
