We are working on our backyard and got a new fence and are working on rehabing any plants we didn’t take out like the mock orange. We installed these boxwoods and I’m just curious what fellow rose lovers think fits the space best. My backyard is green and white. I have a lot of white hydrangeas and white roses like Claire Austin and Desdemona. Desdemona is my favorite rose. I just love the ethereal look of the plant. I have them in this backyard but they are still young and in less sun so I don’t think the plant has reached its full potential.

In this photo to the left of the three boxwood globes is a Tranquility that is as happy and healthy as can be. I wanted to get another white rose to mirror on the right side where that empty space is. My plan was to move Tranquility and get two Desdemonas for each side. Now that it’s time to order I’m wondering if Tranquility is the better choice for this space because of the taller growth habit, larger size and how happy it is here.

Of course Desdemona could be just as happy as well. I just wonder if the shape will be soft and romantic or if it will be too unstructured to be tucked in with these boxwoods.
