Another shutter question - different house!

Should I remove the fake shutters? They are too small. Replacing them is not an option.

    Agree with feeny and Timberlane…no shutters.

    I will go further here and say that for any house, if the shutters do not fit, they do not belong…ever. Fitting means that the shutters, closed (even if they are not operable), will or would cover the glass completely.

    I think this picture gives the best example of when shutters work and do not work. The top windows are separate double hung and the shutters would cover the panes of glass. The bottom windows are double hung, also, but have a different installation. To cover the glass, as feeny pointed out, the shutters would have to be enormous…therefore, no shutters down.
