What do you use your garage for?

Realizing there is the obvious answer - to park your cars, we know that many people use that space for a variety of other purposes as well.

We are all about using your garage and making it look like another room in the house

We put the epoxy paint system in our garage floor. So much easier to keep clean.

epoxy does look good at first, just such a hassle to repair when it stains and peels up . Unless there are no cars going in the garage or work happening in there

I park my truck in it. I'm with Judy -- so many people on my street have their garages so full of stuff they can't park in it (and take up street parking instead) -- annoying.

I am also with Judy! We have our cars parked in the garage. I recommend building a house in which the garage does not face the street if you like to pack it with junk! Or at least keep the door shut so we don't have to look at it! Just a suggestion! ;-)

I can understand if people store something of value in the garage, but often it is filled with plastic toys or other cheap junk, while the 30k car sits outside.

Parking, but twice a year we clean it out and host birthday parties for our girls. It's the perfect location for late summer parties with a big group. We even installed a small disco ball.

My garage is my art gallery, finished floors, track lighting, seating and still room to get the PT Cruiser in.

This time of year it is the elk, game bird and apple processing area. Concrete floors, shop lights, freestanding wood stove, wire storage racks, tool benches and tools, processing tables and chest freezer. Talk radio and hot tea. My dog thinks it is her room, LOL. Truck has its own carport. :D

We completely renovated our 1930 detached garage and potting shed into a 600 sq foot working studio and office for me, a couple of years ago. I absolutely love it. It's gorgeous, and it's the best thing that ever happened for me and for my work (fine art photographer). I've attached pictures before on another thread, but I'll try doing that again tomorrow on this one. But I love it, and it's completely transformed the way I work and how I work-- in such amazing and positive ways. I do not know how I lived without it before.

By the way-- I just saw that 'Uneek Glass Fusions' posted above. Wow-- I didn't know you were on Houzz. I received some truly beautiful samples of glass knobs from you just last week. I love them! So surprised to see the name up here.
