Hello Houzz geniuses!

I need some serious help with my foyer flooring that would include the small half bath on the the other side of the dining room. The tile that is there now was probably original to the home. We put down bamboo flooring on either side of the foyer in dining and living room.

I really think that the foyer should be bamboo too. The problem is that we didn't match up the floors on either side. The staircase is prob oak stained dark. Eventually I would like to rip off the carpet and refinish them in a lighter stain. What do we do? I feel like there is too many intersections happening at the moment. Is this a valid concern? DH thinks ceramic tile is the way to go.

This has become urgent because I started ripping off the old wallpaper in the bathroom and it was papered directly on the drywall! Oops! Look like a bathroom remodel is in our immediate future. The tile in there was placed over the same tile in the foyer. We are going to have to jack hammer it out to get everything even.

What are your thoughts? I will include a picture of my bathroom inspiration. Thank you!
