I'll give you a break this morning kimdee, since you're a busy painter at the moment. Thought you could rest and I'd start today's OLLDS. Did the snow last long yesterday?

Morning Michele......can honestly say I don't miss the snow, even though I enjoy it.....I like for it to just be short periods of time and then back to sunshine and warmth. Here in Memphis the conditions have to be just right for us to get snow and even then it's usually just a couple of inches and gone in a day. Getting snow here 2 or 3 times in the winter is unusual.......our winters are mostly just cold and damp, which bothers me most......it is funny though when we do get it. Heck, even just the mention of snow on the news and the hordes pack the grocery stores like the apocalyptic blizzard of the century is coming........and let a couple of inches fall on the road ways and all hell breaks loose.....these fools don't know how to drive on snow so it turns into a big bumper car ride......

Playing catch up today, trying to get a few things done design wise on the PD's project. Have to leave tomorrow for a family medical emergency trip to Denver and not sure how long I'll be out there.........this month is turning out to be one I would just as soon skip it altogether.........

Wow, you were up early this morning! Or I really slept in...! Thanks for starting today. The snow in the photo was pretty much all we had. It's gone mostly, except in the grassy areas and a bit on the roofs. It's looking a lot better for the rest of the week, sunny and upper 40s.

Morning, STK... sounds like Vancouver. The mere mention of SNOW sends everyone rushing from their offices in a panic to get home before it starts. Those of us who live in snowville aren't even bothered by the threat of a winter storm. Been there, done that, ad nausea.

You certainly aren't having a good month, are you? Here's hoping things improve. October has been pretty sucky all the way around pretty much, it seems.

There's nothing funnier than watching the people flock to the stores to buy anything and everything, because the zombie apocalypse is on it's way via a little dusting of snow. I remember when it really was lots of snow to worry about. Living in Manhattan, walking down the center of seventh ave with 38" on the ground!!!! In the city!!!! That was more like an apocalypse :)
Keep yourself safe STK, get in a wheelchair as often as possible while travelling, you don't need to irritate things any further. Hoping November is a better month for you. :)

Glad you're looking warmer again, got to keep winter at bay for as long as possible. I'm assuming there some more painting happening today. Did the sectional get ordered? Do you have a delivery date?
Yes, I am hoping it will arrive before Christmas, although "officially" they are telling me January. I hate that you have to wait for everything!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, I've hardly ever had to wait for something as long as they said I would. Most times it comes early. Even things on backorder have come in earlier.
Thanks, I hope not. This is a 'stocked item' but of course, it wasn't in-stock when I wanted it!
Almost finished with the painting? Or did you have to work today?
I'm about halfway done. Still have the bulkhead, the window wall and the long wall on the right hand side to do. Taking a break though, gotta do some work this week and I'll save the rest of the painting for the weekend probably.

Cube ottoman... thusly.... must be tailored looking, perhaps with some teal, or not... maybe something patterned, I dunno... to go with leather sectional... something cool...

Here's one from wayfair. Wasn't thinking this style, but I like the colors. And it comes with cushions. Which mightn't be a bad thing. I dunno...
    Grey? Maybe not.
    Anything here?

Which one? The one with the extra pillows? Do they have a custom fabric option?/

    No, this one: http://www.wayfair.com/Van-Gogh-Designs-York-Cube-Ottoman-YOR-OT-VN1103.html

And here are all the fabric options, though not all of these are available through Wayfair: http://www.vangoghdesigns.com/search.asp?qs=&qt=4

And dammit, Ballard Designs. They tell me "We now ship to Canada" (hooray) and then tell me that the ottomans aren't eligible for international shipping. I hate them.

Anyhow, thanks super shopping genie. If you see anything else that catches your eye, let me know. Trash day tomorrow. Gotta go clean out the fridge.

I went in to the most amazing time capsule kitchen today. My partner and I went down the street and knocked on the door of a man who sharpens blades and bits of all kinds. It turns out the gentleman has since passed away but his widow says her son in law still does the work on a part time basis

This woman and her husband built the house in 1957 and the kitchen was virtually untouched from the original installation. Green St. Charles steel cabinets with a super cool outside corner curved cabinet. Apartment sized stove built in before the space age formica counters with the stainless steel banding were installed. The counters were a wild triangular pattern in green, aqua and blue.

Wow Linda, that would be something to see, like stepping into the past!
