Ipe wood is prized for its durability, strength, and its natural resistance to decay, wet conditions, and insect infestation. The metal portion of the fence is meant to encourage vines to trail up the fence and is made of metal wire cattle panels that can be found at many local lumber suppliers and farm and ranch stores.
