Hi, I would inside mount either roman shades or woven shades, and then add the floor length panels to just the outside of the end windows. this will give you the feeling of the panels you are looking for, and give you added interest with the layers of the window treatments, also showcasing your great trim millwork, and while at the same time working around your design dilemma. see the images I've attached as examples.
