This shower pan seems wider and longer than a standard one. The pitch seems very subtle but it's there. In a smaller pan, the pitch will be more noticeable.

Before using a mosaic tile always check the tile with a soak test. Many mosaics sheet glue is water based and these are not suitable for shower floors or walls.

Notice the moisture around the drain. Notice the shower is dry, or at least the walls and glass. A properly built shower will dry out and water that gets beneath the grout and tile will weep into the drains weep holes.

A poorly built shower or poorly grouted shower can and will stay wet.

I would imagine that this shower has a slight dam at the connection point of the drain to the plc liner and this is holding water and making the tile look wet around the drain.

The tile was from Oregon Tile and Marble. It is Carrera Marble 1/2"x1/2" mosaic. It is true, Marbles tend to hold moisture even when properly sealed. It is pretty difficult to get "the look" without using marbles.
