Does this sweet fairy plant actually take the heat in Austin, TX? Or is the house in some other "Austin"? Or is the owner named Austin? Totally confused!

http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1892/ Hahahaha. Sounds like a contender to replace the high-maintenance St. Augustine in our HOA greenbelt!!! Will do more research. Here we go: http://www.gardenofaaron.com/2013/08/groundcover-warning-blue-star-creeper.html oh, well. Maybe it will be a good combination with the also-invasive English ivy ground cover that has taken over my tiny back yard. I just pay one of the gardeners to mow the ivy down to about 2" once or twice a year with an industrial-strength weed-whacker, and rake out the oak leaves and any other debris. It recovers quickly. Still scratching my head. To think such a sweet looking little thing could be such a pest!

Creative Garden Spaces: fyi, there is a brand of plants named "Stepable." However, it does appear that 'Little Blue Fairy Plant' can indeed be trod upon.

The "Austin" mentioned here is the name of the client where this photo was taken... in Portland, Oregon. It needs shade and it is probably too dry in Texas to be sustainable since it would need supplemental water.

Yes, this is a "Stepable" and can have light foot traffic as it does here on this path.

It would not stand up in combination to ivy as the ivy would quickly overtake this ground cover. While this groundcover spreads it does so slowly and can be controlled easily.

Thanks so much for the inquiry! For mor information on Stepables available in your area go to http://www.stepables.com
