I have a bedroom that is fairly large in size 20 X 26. I have one long wall I painted Burgundy and the other walls are a cream color. My wood floors are a Brazilian Cherry. I have wood blinds. I would like to add some Grey to the room. I was thinking a cream colored duvet along with a grey rug under the bed with a Grey pattern curtain. Your thoughts?

Texture goes a long way. Something solid but puckered would work great. A rug with a large geometric look can handle another pattern in the room if the scale is different. Think of the scale as small being the size of your thumb, medium the size of your fist, and large scale as anything as large as your hand or bigger. Mixing scales of design is a great way to compliment patterns without creating too much visual activity.

Would a Moroccan tile pattern in navy and white look good here or should I use a less bold or smaller pattern? The adjoining room has white sofas and navy and white chairs so I wanted to extend the look and make it pop!
