Hi - no, I haven't yet made a decision. I've thought through the shutter option and decided not to go in that direction. I like your idea of maybe selecting a print panel. I am focusing on the living room windows first (the picture with the two chairs and ottoman). The wall color is the same as the other pic, but the color doesn't show well in the picture. I have a few Santa Fe red accents in the room currently and thought about maybe panels with a print with a little red, but not sure. I would also like to have a sheer of some kind to help a little with privacy, but don't know if it would be better to go with a traditional length sheer, or maybe a more tailored look of a roman shade sheer. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Also - I plan to paint the door to match the wall color.

I like the wood blinds. Have you ever considered painting all the woodwork white? Then go with white wood blinds. It would pull the room in a better direction. Much cleaner and brighter.

LeeLee - Thanks for the feedback. The windows are outside mount, double hung wood windows and my fear with wood blinds is that they would stick out too far from the window/wall and not look "finished." I would have so many more options if these were inside mount :(

My living room is a similar layout as I live in a townhouse. The builder put in white wooden blinds throughout the house. In the morning I open them up fully to get the most light in the room and close them at night for privacy.

Hunter Douglas Cellular shades can be mounted in as little as 1/2" of space, so I think they could be mounted inside your windows. choose a light neutral your home will feel so much warmer. Panels hung at the sides and in the space between the windows are a great idea, they add color and personality. Hardware for a tight. Ay like that can be a little tricky though.
