We extensively remodeled/restored our 1959 mid century modern home, and kept the original stone fireplace. Unfortunately, it never had much draw, so we've run a gas line and intend to put in a gas log set. While I love the look of linear burners and glass in modern homes, I can't quite picture it with our stone fireplace... I was thinking a birch set, but I REALLY don't want it to look cheesy with fake embers, etc.
Any suggestions, especially in regards to specific log sets, would be much appreciated!
