Thompson Remodeling recently remodeled all the living areas in this 1970's ranch, eliminating four walls to open up the floorplan. At the center of the space is a new entertaining kitchen with purposely-wide walkways to allow the chef to socialize with his guests while preparing meals. It was important to have enough space for many to gather in the kitchen while he was cooking but be able to maneuver easily around them.

Here are some highlights of the design:
*Extra wide walkways made of 5" rustic hickory wood throughout the kitchen.
*Corian countertops accented with a mosaic glass backsplash.
* Large island with plenty of work space and seating areas.
* Six burner Jenn Air range accented by a lovely pale green mosaic glass backsplash.
* Stainless hood flanked by cabinets with glass inset doors.
