Hi, unfortunately we do not offer additional cord length in our lights.

Have a qualified electrician review this fixture. It is possible that a longer cord/wire may be available from a retailer. Changing the cord may void the manufactures warranty and the UL listing... just so you know.

Can this be modified for exterior? & Perhaps on a chain?

Hi, we cannot modify any of our lights, but we recommend calling an experienced electrician to modify the shade into the desired chain aesthetic. We do sell just the shades.
