I thought I would use granite for my new kitchen counter and cooktop surround, but all the colors I like are in marble. I like to cook and fear marble is so much more porous than granite, I will ruin the counter with olive oil rings, cranberry juice stains, etc. Does anyone know of a new sealant for marble that would protect it against these perils? Sealers that friends have used in the past have been inadequate. Thanks!
