The room looks like it has great ceiling height . Do you have more pictures? It's helpful to see the room from different angles.

The dark blind makes the room look smaller, as does the wide night stand. You need to add reading lamp between the beds.

If the girls do do not like the beds, How about have slip covers made by an upholstery shop that will cover the headboards.

Could go with a couch type bed, cast iron frame. One bed would pull out but that would give a lot of room and give a focal point as well.

I see this photo on another post of yours. I would find beds that have drawer storage under the bed also buy high boy dressers for the room, The stand between the beds is taking up way too much floor space in this room. Can you turn it on end? I also would try to choose a headboard that was plain. Maybe a corkboard above each bed?

May be go with bunk beds. This will open up the floor area. Wood floor might be good but in a light colored stain since dark colors tend to make rooms look smaller. If not wood, then a lightly colored carpet

Go by what your daughters like in color. Don't go too bold. I always think it is interesting to have alternating colors on walls. Get paint samples and compare.

I think that we need to see more of the layout of room first because depend then one bed will be under the window and the other wont. The room Darzy post has two windows. I also think that you need to decide what else in the room that you want to change, bedding, paint, etc and budget.

Yes 2dog is right a large full-length mirror leaning up against the wall. The girls will love it. Keep the walls light. Take the girls to a home goods outlet and let them pick out 3 pillows each for their bed. Do a cream spread and let their pillows make a statement.
