Shower Shield for Bathtub

We are renonvating our bathroom andjust put in a 32" x 60" tub. I would love to put in a glass shower shield instead of a curtain rod, but just stood in the bathtub. Is it too narrow for a shower shield. Will I be bumping into the glass when showering. Any advise or experience with this

We have sliding glass shower doors. Can't speak for her, (she's asleep currently) , but i never bump into the doors. In previous rents we always had shower curtains. Now that we have sliding doors i now see that that sliding doors is the way to go
