Christine, it seems they grade their fabrics based on price. The fabric is 100% linen, and with that I can share a few things that might help you decide on the right choice. Linen is a natural fiber like cotton, and it is beautiful. The fiber is stronger than cotton, and can be professionally cleaned. If you live in a humid environment, Linen may not be a good choice because it does gain moisture and can result in midew damage. If you regularly use your bed for watching tv/reading, you may want to go with a mixed fabric like polyester/cotton. Polyester tends to wear better against abrasion then linen.

Thank you so much for replying. We live in Seattle, WA. We do watch TV and our dogs do share the bed. We chose the fabric based on the color. The bed is expensive and I am/was concerned at spending money on something that wasn't going to last.
