The desk is actually a custom built island. A portion of the base was constructed with old library card catalogs and all painted red to match. The countertop is cararra marble.

Fun, useful room! Can you please tell me the dimensions of the island as well as the height and depth of the back counter?

Unfortunately, I can't. The cabinets varied from the plans which is all I have. I'm pretty sure the back cabinets are standard depth, 24" and I think the height is counter height, 36".
