While I do not have specific experience with either of these models, I have always specified Bosch for cooktops over Dacor. A cooktop is such a vital part of the kitchen from a functional point of view. I would always go with the better brand - Bosch.

Thank you. It's nice to hear opinions. I'm so confused. Other people (off of Houzz) are telling me that in cooking products Dacor is better. (In dishwashers, for example, no one beats Bosch) But that every company has their specialty.

In 18 years of designing residential interiors, I have never specified a Dacor cook top.....beverage fridges, yes, but not cook tops. Just my experience.

I agree with Ferguson... Dacor for a beverage fridge is fine! But definitely Bosch for major appliances.

Bosch is a German-based product/design line. Having experienced German products in Germany (lived there for 4 years) I would go German - without a thought. Bosch, in Germany, is a middle of the road (not the cheapest; not the most expensive) product that is the go-to level for many Haus Frauen with homes that have to work on a budget. In N. America it is on the higher end of "regular" peoples' budgets. Definately worth the extra $$ to work with German technology.

Just a different point of view when looking at German based technologies.
