What type of tumbled stone is the backsplash tile? And could it be used in a shower or is it too porous?

    It's travertine. It can be used in the shower though it is very porous. Be sure to use a good grout with a built in sealer. In addition seal the entire surface after installation. You'll also want to be sure to re-seal the shower every year.
