Would it be possible to cultivate a hedge of Michelia Figo in the Southern Tablelands (NSW / ACT) area?

Hi goenendevil, yes - Michelia figo will grow in the tablelands. A god reference for you would be 'the Canberra gardener' published by the horticultural society of Canberra. Last time I looked Michelia figo was one of their recommended shrubs - and as you can see it hedges very nicely. Cheers.

Is there deck joist on the underside of the composite deck, which leaves me to believe open air space, my question is more about drainage under the deck. Is there a French drain or catch basins to divert the water from collecting and causing algae growth or mosquito haven areas... Or even an increase of wood rot.

Hi Eric. Yes - the deck is a proper deck with pylons bearers and joists. You can't see it, but there is a gap between the deck and the pavers - they do not touch - so lots of air flow and no drainage issues as water is absorbed by the soil. The deck is designed to look like it floats above the pavers. Hope this answers your query.
