Our Kitchen Remodel!!

We have been working on our house since moving in to it in 2008. Just started with painting in one room or another but was gradually wanting to upgrade our kitchen. With some imagination and ideas from Houzz we envisioned a beautiful solution to just plain cabinets and so far have only done so with a little less than $800. Have yet to put in new countertops and a backsplash but are watching sales and have good friends that can give us a discount on supplies. So far I am very pleased with the result. Our family wants us to start a remodeling business!!
We still have a little of the crown molding to finish on the tall cabinet and we hung a small chandelier above the sink but I couldn't wait to share it with you all!!
Let us know what you think!!

    Too much detail for me

Maybe lighten your ceiling. The contrast is too much. Just an idea

Maybe better in real life. Not all of us photograph well.

I think you should ask for $700 back. Is one pic before a storm and one after?

Your kitchen model reminds me of 60's style where most architectural designs were made in above manner, but now people mostly prefers to have small cabinet with good amount of space inside & it needs to be sleek enough. Also lightening needs to better in kitchen area, inadequate lightening is problematic during night time.

Frame the window with a line of white molding - will look superb

I agree Grobby. Lose the decorative brackets not quite sure what its there for. it seems to be floating in the middle of a large area. Maybe some sort of pendent light look good there instead.

Is this a before or an after picture?

It's so rewarding to do it yourself and get the result you were envisioning -- congrats on your new kitchen!

The wine storage by the sink is fab, but with it being dark, the gingerbread pieces kind of look like they are hanging in the middle. Is the ceiling similar to tin tile? I bet in the sunlight it is fabulous!
