Furniture arrangement

Would like to cozy this room up a bit. Looking for alternate ideas for furniture placement Family room/kitchen combo. TV cab needs to remain and at least one recliner needs to face the tv. hubby insists on that. Willing to change end tables, etc. any ideas appreciated!

Fabrics like curtains and rug definitely would help warm up the room. Maybe a different wall color something more subtle and warm.

Perhaps a larger ottoman and area rug to 'fill' up the space which could feel more cozy.

Larger rug would be awesome, but my husband uses a walker, so would be trip hazard. Was thinking of "cozing" up the furniture grouping. Maybe some angling of the furniture to create more of a conversation area? Any thoughts? Would love to get some curtains as well...solid or patterned?

What about a heavy wool rug that doesn't budge. They don't roll so not to have the lip to trip on? You have solid chairs and sofa so it would depend on the pattern you chose and your wall color.

Also, tightening up your conversation group will help with the cozy factor. If moving the dining table is not an option, you can move the red chairs up closer to the sofa, away from the wall. You have nice pieces to work with. Try angling the conversation group and see what happens.

Also, spread out and toss that red throw that is folded up on the sofa over the arm. :)

Thanks for the ideas. I will take more pics tomorrow of angle toward the dining table. I don't think moving the table will work as light fixture, etc, would need to be moved and I don' think would make sense? Would have to say that the TV is the focal in this room (we have separate living room). Thanks so much everyone for your suggestions. Again...more pics tomorrow. Thinking of making an "L" out of the sofa and the two recliners at an angle toward the TV. Maybe I will try that, post a picture and see what you all think?

I would have the couch face that whole big wall so you can sit there and enjoy the tv and the fireplace. AND the window will be open, which I love. Then put a chair at either end of it, with the one at the table end being angled the most toward the tv.

Take the lamp off the top of the tv cabinet and put the horse up there with the greenery. Try one of the colored art pieces up on the mantle just to see what you think and if two of them would work, too.

I love your design style and colors in this room.....that tray on the ottoman and the console table behind the couch.....awesome touches! Is there room to separate the recliners and just bring ONE across the rug to the other side of the ottoman? IF you like them together, I think there should be a small table for the one recliner to also be able to use.

Thanks! Can't put other recliner on the opposite side, will run into the fireplace. But...I am really liking thisnew furniture arrangement thus far. Have seen wedge-shaped small side tables that I think may work for the other side of the recliner. Thanks all for your help!!

Yes. This is more cozy and dynamic at the same time. I like what you've done.
