Want less backsplash

Should I just wrap the soapstone or add single course of subway tiles? A dilemma! Most soapstone counter photos do not wrap it up the back.

Thank you for your question.
If you want to wrap only a single course, I recommend doing with the stone you are using.
If you are going all the way, you can do either with the soapstone or tiles. They will both look great! Wish you all the luck in your project.

What variety of soapstone is this? It is beautiful!

Hello lkfahrner, this Soapstone is from Brazil and is called Mirasol Black Honed. Out of this same type of soapstone you get very heavy veining and some not at all. It really depends on the different lots. For more information, please visit www.mirasolsoapstone.com or www.stonecenteratlanta.com.
